Willie Ann Loyd died April 9, 2014 in Purcell at the age of 75 years 7 months 19 days. Memorial Services are scheduled for 10:30 AM, Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Wadley's Funeral Chapel under the care of Wadley's Funeral Service.

She was born August 21, 1938 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Harold and Josephine (Pemberton) Schuneman. She was raised in Oklahoma City, graduating in 1956 from Central High School. During her school years, she was active in many activities including 4H, Black Skirt Pep Club, where she was Vice President, and Future Teachers of America Chapter, where she was the Reporter. Ann was also a member of Spirit Sooner Newspaper, serving as exchange editor, advertising manager and editor. She continued her education at Oklahoma State University, studying business. Ann was hired at Kerr-McGee Oil as a secretary. After that, she worked a short time for Benham-Blair Associates, and then Rees Associates, Inc. an architectural firm, where she was promoted to Vice President. In 1976 she moved to Pauls Valley, with her three children. After retirement, Ann enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles. She was always making sure her property was manicured, as well as decorated for the holidays. Ann loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, and was especially fond of her son, Robert and Danette’s Blueline Bar-B-Que.

Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and JoJo Schuneman; brothers, Richard and Bruce Shuneman; and sister, Mary Jo Berninger. Survivors include her daughters, Cathy Birkholz and husband, Kenny of Kansas, Linda Jones and husband, Jim of Oklahoma City; son, Robert Loyd and wife, Danette of Florida; brother, Mike Schuneman of Oklahoma City; sister, Sally Haggard and husband, Steve of Oklahoma City; 5 grandchildren, Sean Loyd and girlfriend, Kristin Hudson, Chrissy Birkholz, Michael Miller and girlfriend, Stephinie Black, Aaron Loyd, Jessica Kuykendall and many other relatives and friends.
