Virginia Ruth Moore died April 9, 2016 in Broken Bow at the age of 95 years 6 months 17 days. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel under the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.
Virginia was born September 23, 1920, near Lexington, Oklahoma to Everett Preston and Iva Glasco Smith. She married W.B. (Bob) Moore on October 5, 1938. They lived in the Stealy Community and were members of the Unity Missionary Baptist Church.
Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob; three (3) brothers, Bill Smith and wife, Zetta, J.P Smith and wife, Imojean, Claude Smith and wife, Maxine; five (5) sisters, Bessie Dockery and husband, Hubert, Viola Smith, Evelyn Summers and husband, Roy, Lavette Abney and husband, Herman, Margie Abney and husband, Denver; brother-in-law, Dewey Moore and wife, Jackie. Survivors include her daughter, Collene White and husband, Don of Broken Bow; sister, Pearl Abney of Wayne; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
