Tanya Herell of Purcell, peacefully passed away May 1, 2024, surrounded by family in Oklahoma City at the age of 72 years 9 months 11 days. A memorial mass is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service. Service will be live streamed below.
Tanya was born July 21, 1951, in Lubbock, Texas to W.L. "Mack" and Dorothy (Bingley) McBroom. Her pride and joy in life were raising her two sons Robbie and Tommie. Tanya could often be seen supporting her children at all school and sporting events. Tanya enjoyed spending time with her ladies' group at her church, her annual "planting" of her silk flowers in her yard, frequent Sonic trips and car rides with her sister Shelly, along with cooking and laughing with her family. Her famous baked beans will sure be missed.
Tanya is preceded in death by her parents, W.L "Mack" and Dorothy McBroom; and her partner of over 20 years, Sherel Bruehl. Survivors include her sons, Robbie Goodman of Chicago, Tommie Herell and wife, Shawna Herell, of Norman; her sister, Sandra Farha and husband, Dr. Emile Farha of Oklahoma City; her brother, Terry McBroom of Oklahoma City; her sister, Shelly McBroom of Purcell; her granddaughter, Harper Herell; her two nieces, Christina Duthie and Savanna Hunt; along with her great nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Bryan Dye, wife Jan Dye, their family and medical staff for the care and love they have shown to our family over the many years of knowing them.
