Sharon Grizzle

Sharon May (Richmond) Grizzle died June 1, 2022, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years 4 months 3 days.  Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at the CrossPointe Church in Norman.  Interment will follow at Denver Cemetery, east of Norman, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Sharon was born January 29, 1952, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Lloyd and Vina (Barnhill) Harris.  She was raised and attended school in Norman.  On July 22, 1973, she married Alvis Grizzle in Norman, Oklahoma and were married for 38 years before Alvis passed in 2011.  Sharon worked a few jobs, including housekeeper at Rosewood Manor and a cashier for Greenleaf Bakery.  She loved crafting and making floral arrangements, playing board games, even inventing her own.  Sharon loved to vacation at Lake Eufaula with her husband, and spending time with her family.  She was a member of CrossPointe Church in Norman.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Vina Harris; her husband, Alvis Grizzle; her brother, Veon Richmond; her infant brothers, Danner and Chester; and her sister-in-law, Deborah Harris.  Survivors include her sister, Karon LaBoy and husband, Luis; her brothers, Raford Richmond and wife, Phyllis, Terry Richmond and wife, Terri, Charley Harris; her stepson, Darrell Grizzle; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
