SFC Kennith Ray Daniels died October 28, 2017 at the age of 56 years 1 month 7 days. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Friday, November 3, 2017 at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service. .
Kennith was born September 21, 1961 in Norman, Oklahoma to Kennith Bobbie and Mahla (McCaslin) Daniels. He was raised in the Slaughterville area, graduating from Noble High School in 1981. Kennith continued his education at OSU Okmulgee. In 1986, at the age of 26, he was inducted into the Oklahoma Army National Guard and served 6 years before being honorable discharged. On May 14, 1988 he married Linda Lee Fisher in Purcell, Oklahoma. They worked together running Daniels Trucking from 1989 to 2003. Kennith re-enlisted into the Oklahoma Army National Guard in 2002 at the age of 41. He was deployed to Active Duty with the United States Army on several occasions. Kennith was a civilian Inspector for the Department of Defense. During his years in the military, he earned many medals, decorations and awards such as the Iraq Campaign Medal, The Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal, National Defense Service medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal Campaign Star, Army Service Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal and the Samuel Sharpe Master Gunner of Ordnance Medal. Kennith loved his family and spending time with his pride and joy, his daughter, Kenda. They are members of the Lexington First Free-will Baptist Church. Kennith loved history, especially Military History.
Kennith is preceded in death by his parents, Kennith Daniels and Mahla Daniels Wilson; maternal grandparents, Mahlon and Opal Waggoner McCaslin; paternal grandparents, Marion Dick and Willie Staurt Daniels. Survivors include his wife, Linda Kay (Fisher) Daniels; daughter Kenda Raylee Daniels; sister, Cheryl Hinkle Wohlschlegel and husband, Elton; nieces, Tuesday Hinkle Capps and husband, Mark; Daniell Hinkle Herron and husband, Billy; great nephews, Zack Smith and wife, Emily, Triston Herron, Cody Herron; stepfather, Frank Wilson; and many other relatives and friends.
