Rosita Faye Hall died January 26, 2017 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 92 years 11 months 8 days. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Deacon John Warren officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.
Rosita was born on February 18, 1924 to Ernest and Orlena (Couch) Buchanan in Huntsville, Alabama. She was raised in Lexington, Oklahoma, graduating from Lexington High School in 1942. Rosita continued her education at the University of Oklahoma, majoring in Liberal Arts. In October 1945, she married Alton Hall in Lexington, Oklahoma. Rosita enjoyed painting, oil and pastels. She volunteered at Our Lady of Victory Catholic School, teaching art. Rosita also enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, and embroidery work, as well as, Rosaries, jewelry, poetry, and songbirds such as Cardinals, Orioles and Mourning Doves. She loved Cats and Ducks and old movies on TCM.
Rosita is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Orlena Buchanan; husband, Alton Hall; sisters, Jeanine Davis and Glenna Cole. Survivors include her children, Clarence Keith Hall, Orlena Beth Brockie and husband, David, Rebecca Faye Meigs and husband, Frank, Alton Jesse Hall and wife, Rhonda, Johanna Micah Engert, Mary Ann Wagoner and husband, Ron; 15 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
