Ola Bryce

Ola Mae (Farris) Bryce died December 16, 2017 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years 11 months 5 days. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Blackburn Chapel Church in Bethel Acres, with interment following at Blackburn Chapel Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Ola Mae was born January 11, 1926 in Pink, Oklahoma to George and Pearl (McClure) Farris. She was raised in Shawnee, attending school in the surrounding communities. On August 8, 1942 she married Herbert Earl Bryce. They were married for 57 years before Herbert passed in 2000. Ola Mae was active in her local Baptist church. She loved her God, her family, her flowers and traveling, especially to Texas with Herbert. Ola Mae enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and flower gardening. She was a loving person and always made friends where ever she was.

Ola Mae is preceded in death by her parents, George and Pearl Farris; husband, Herbert Earl Bryce; siblings, Gerald Farris, Melvin Farris, Warren Farris and Frienda Farris. Survivors include her 6 children, daughters, Nancy Coleman and husband, Mike of Norman, Darla Pittman and husband, H.A. of Noble, Pam Bryce of Noble, Kathy Dunaway and husband, Smokey of Lexington, Cheryl Diehm and husband, Wayne of Norman; son, Larry Bryce and wife, Darla Ann of Noble; 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends who greatly loved and will miss her.
