Mary Frances Fellows Henke died August 24, 2024, in Oklahoma City at the age of 77 years 6 months 29 days.
Mary was born on January 28, 1947, in the charming town of Waterloo, New York, and was a beloved daughter of LeRoy and Delia (Duprey) Fellows. Her formative years were spent surrounded by serene beauty of Waterloo, where the roots of her warm spirit were nurtured. Throughout her life, Mary embraced a diversity of experiences through various vocations, each shaping her into the remarkable person she became. In her journey of love and partnership, she married William “Bill” Henke, whose military service led them to traverse many bases across the country. This shared adventure fostered a bond that endured beyond their time together. Following the passing of Bill, Mary found solace in the companionship of her sister, establishing a new home in Purcell. Here, she cultivated joy in the simple pleasures of life, often found enjoying her favorite television shows, with “Yellowstone” holding a special place in her heart. The warmth of sisterly connection brought her immense happiness, particularly as she joyously reconnected with her children after many years of separation. Mary’s life was a tapestry of love, resilience, and rekindled relationships. She will be fondly remembered for her nurturing spirit and the joy she brought to those fortunate enough to have shared in her journey.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Delia Fellows; her husband, Bill Henke. Survivors include her sister, Bonnie Olson and husband, Rick; her children, Cindy French, Tracy Zimdahl, Paulie Zimdahl and wife, Jennifer, Billie Jo Ahart, Clayton Milar and Harry Milar; her brother, George Fellows; her sister, Judy Mowery and husband, John; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
