Luie Tannehill

Luie Lee Tannehill died July 2, 2019 in Blanchard, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years 7 months 30 days. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, July 5, 2019 at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Dibble Cemetery, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Luie was born November 3, 1934 to Windell and Vergie Alzina (True) Tannehill. He was raised and attended school in the Lindsay area. Luie married June Booth in 1955, and celebrated 46 years before June died in 2001. Luie worked many years as and Paint Contractor, painting many newly built homes in Oklahoma. On January 12, 2008 he married, Wilma Jean Ray in Newcastle, Oklahoma. Luie enjoyed fishing, wood working, square dancing, going on road trips, working on his tractor, old cars and gardening.

Luie is preceded in death by his parents, Windell and Vergie Tannehill; first wife, Mable June Tannehill; daughter, Glenda Tannehill; son, Paul Tannehill; siblings, Jimmy, Jay, Troy, Billy, Leroy, Madeline and Linda; sons in law, Keith Wright and Gary Page. Survivors include his wife, Wilma Tannehill; daughters, Diana Wright, Tammy Kay Page, Kimberly Dawn Hawkins; grandchildren, Tyler Hawkins, Trent Hawkins, Dustin Page, Christopher Page, Luie Booth, Steve Booth, Carl "CJ" Meadows, Amber Speckman; numerous great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
