Linda Sturgeon

Linda Kay Sturgeon died August 20, 2021 in Lake Underhill, Florida at the age of 53 years 6 months 4 days.  Memorial Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the McAlester Free Will Baptist Church, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Linda, the second child, born  February 16, 1968 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Ronnie Jack and Diann (Green) Bowen.  Linda was raised in the McAlester, Oklahoma area, graduating in 1987 from McAlester High School.  Linda was a homemaker and enjoyed watching Nascar.  She married Ben Sturgeon and they made their home in Florida.

Linda is preceded in death by her father, Ronnie Jack Bowen; her stepfather, James Westbrook; her twin brother, Jerry DeWayne Bowen; her brother, Joe David Bowen; and her grandmother, Helen Ruth (Wadley) Green.

She is survived by her husband, Ben Sturgeon of Florida; her mother, Diann Bowen of Krebs; her daughter, Rebecca Pedigo of Krebs; her brother, Ronnie Bowen of Krebs; her grandfather, Elmer Green of McAlester; her aunts and uncles, Bill Green and wife, Patti of Overbrook, Oklahoma, Pam Bonnet and Richard of McAlester, Kenneth Green of McAlester, Randy Green and wife, Nicole of McAlester; numerous cousins and other relatives and friends.
