Larry David Short

     Larry David Short died June 6, 2023, in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 71 years 8 months 9 days. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, June 9, 2023, at the Wadley’s Funeral Chapel, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.  

     Larry was born September 28, 1951, in Byars, Oklahoma to Murl Short and Pauline New.  He was raised and attended school in the Byars area.  Larry worked many years moving mobile homes, independently and with his brother.  Larry married Pam Henderson on November 1, 1976, and made their home in Lexington.  Larry enjoyed listening to music, going to car shows and watching or “supervising” his boys on working on cars.  He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

     Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Murl Short and Pauline New; his brother, Bobby “Buck” New and wife, Elsie; his brother, Melvin Short and wife, Hilma; his brother, Thurman Short; his sister, Betty Tate; his brother-in-law, Tom McKelvain; and his nephew, Ricky McKelvain.  Survivors include his wife, Pam Short; his son, Tim Short; his son, Jason Short and wife, Suzanna; his son, Robby Short; his grandchildren, Austin and Maddie, Lilly, Aubrey, Brooklyn; his brother, Benny Short; his sister, Alice McKelvain; his sister, Murlene Faulkenberry; and numerous other relatives and friends.
