Larry Bruce Hildreth II passed away December 26, 2024, at the age of 50 years 24 days. Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 11, 2025, at the Wadley’s Funeral Chapel, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.
Larry was born December 2, 1974, in Tri-city, Oceanside, California to Larry Hildreth and Donelda Wallace. His formative years were spent in Yuma, Arizona, where he developed a passion for life that was reflected in his love for skateboarding and the cherished time he spent with friends. After completing his education, Larry embarked on a journey, traveling and exploring the world around him. However, he soon settled in Oklahoma, drawn by the call of family, where he embraced the role as uncle and helped raise his cherished niece’s and nephew. Later, it was in Washington State that Larry's heart expanded even further with the birth of his daughter, Julia Hildreth, whom he regarded as the light of his life. Larry ultimately made his way back to Oklahoma, where he resided until his passing. His professional journey was marked by a variety of roles, each underscoring his compassionate nature. He dedicated himself as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Sunset Estates of Purcell and Broadway Living Center, where he spread joy and kindness among the residents. Larry's return to Sunset Estates as a housekeeper allowed him to continue his mission of care, always ready to lend a helping hand and engage in heartfelt conversations with those he served. A lover of the great outdoors, Larry cherished moments spent camping and hiking, reveling in the beauty of nature. He found joy in music, movies, and cooking—each a testament to his vibrant personality. Perhaps most remarkable was Larry's unwavering positivity; he had the gift of seeing the good in everyone and wore a smile that could light up any room. Known for his generosity, Larry never met a stranger; his warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Larry is preceded in death by his father, Larry Hildreth; his mother, Donelda Wallace Murphy; his brother, Jerry Hildreth; his uncle, Gary Hildreth; his aunt, Marilyn Murphy; and his uncle, Leray Revall. Survivors include his daughter, Juila Hildreth; his brother, Berry Hildreth and children, Berry Hildreth Jr., Ivy Hildreth, Patience Hildreth; their mother, Kristen Randall and her partner, Jeremiah Cox; his sister, Jennifer Johnson; his uncles, Terry Hildreth, Ronald Wallace, Robert Wallace; his aunt, Rose Dryer; and numerous other relatives and friends.
