George Calvin Roberts died September 23, 2016 in Purcell at the age of 72 years 10 months 17 days. Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the 9th and Pierce Church of Christ in Purcell. Services are entrusted to Wadley’s Funeral Service.
George was born November 6, 1943 in Maysville, Oklahoma to D. Burl and Gussie Geneva (Richardson) Roberts. He was raised and attended school in Maysville. On May 24 1974 he married Jacquelyn Zoe Pittman in Slaughterville, Oklahoma. For years George was a heavy equipment operator and owned Roberts Dozer Service until his retirement. He was an avid fisherman. George loved fishing and camping at Blue River, and spending time with his family and friends there. George loved to go hunting with his father, brothers and sons, and enjoyed woodworking and crafts with his wife, Jackie. He attended services at the 9th and Pierce Church of Christ. George never forgot anyone, unconditionally loved everyone and never met a stranger. George will always be a beloved Husband, Dad, PaPa, Brother, Uncle and Friend.
George is preceded in death by his parents, D. Burl and Gussie Geneva Roberts; son, Gary Lynn Roberts; brothers, Billy and Kenneth Roberts. Survivors include his wife, Jacquelyn; daughters, Regina DeAnn Oliphant and husband, Greg, Carol Little and husband, Cory, Trudi Hosek and husband, Larry; sons, Mikeal Ray Roberts and wife, Tammy, Michael Mansur and wife, Monica, Mark Mansur; grandchildren, Christopher Anderson and wife, Staci, Macy Oliphant, Ryan Oliphant, Shane Oliphant, Mikeal Roberts II, Brandon Mansur, Tyler Mansur, Kevin West and wife, Keely, Jason Little, Traci Auzaid and husband, Kaies, Zack Mansur, Amanda Bivings and husband, Joe, Larry Hosek, Jr. and wife, Ashley; 11 great grandchildren; siblings, Susie Bacon and husband, Larry, Mike Roberts and wife, Sandra, Jonnie Roberts and wife, Donna, Paula Amrein and husband, Fred; sisters-in-law, Pat Roberts, Barbara Roberts and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and a host of friends.
