Gary was born June 18, 1989, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Gary was raised in Lexington, graduating in 2007. Gary wrote the following:
"Don’t worry, I am in the arms of Jesus now. Here are some things I want you all to hear. I accepted Jesus as my Savior on January 16, 2022, in a small church in my hometown of Lexington called Grace Chapel. I sat down with my Pastor, Charles Barton, who has been more than a friend. I want my family and friends to know, I love them and if I ever hurt them, I am truly sorry. See I loved big, and I never met a stranger in my life. If I called you buddy or brother/sister, that is how I felt about you. Know that in the end, we are family. Please find Jesus. I loved to fish, hunt, and shoot guns. I am a good aim. I loved hanging out with friends and family and riding around with my side chick. I loved to make people laugh, telling jokes and talking lots of crap. I enjoyed chicken fights, talking to old timers, and going to work with my Uncle Gary. I worked as a farm hand and for the City of Lexington for a short time.
Gary is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jean McGehee; his grandparents, Joe Dawson, Bob McGehee, Huck and Trixie Whittington.
