Eathel was born July 11, 1937, at the family home in Maysville, Oklahoma to Harold and Mara Lee (Guthrie) Moring. Raised in the warmth of family and small-town values, he attended school in Maysville, where his roots ran deep. From the moment he met Emilea Long on May 26, 1955, Eathel felt an undeniable connection, knowing she was the one he would spend his life with. They united in marriage on March 3, 1956, in Ada, Oklahoma, embarking on a remarkable journey that would bless them with 70 years of love and companionship. Eathel's passion for automobiles ignited at an early age; he received a Willys as his first car at the age of 12 and honed his skills as an auto mechanic. After honoring his commitment to the fire department, he transitioned to civil defense and later served as McClain County Emergency Manager. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Eathel possessed a zest for life. He found joy in riding motorcycles, hunting, and fishing, yet nothing surpassed his love for family. He delighted in sharing stories and cherished moments, often surprising children with gum and candy, spreading joy effortlessly. As a devoted Christian and faithful member of the Church of Christ, Eathel’s faith guided his life. His legacy of love, service, and unwavering support will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
