Dorothy Martin

Dorothy Mae Martin died May 15, 2022, in Purcell, Oklahoma at the age of 81 years 4 months 22 days.  Graveside services are scheduled for 02:00 PM, Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at the Hillside Cemetery, in Purcell, Oklahoma, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Dorothy was born December 24, 1940, in Purcell, Oklahoma to Haskell and Reba (Beaubien) Fox. She was raised in Purcell where she met and married the love of her life, Carroll Martin, on September 7,1957.  Dorothy and Carroll moved to California to be closer to Carroll’s family and it was there where they had their two boys, Tommy Glen Martin and Larry Wayne Martin. They built and pastored a church in Chino, California for quite some time, before eventually returning to Purcell. Dorothy worked for many years as a beautician and as an LPN in home healthcare. She was a member of the Landmark Church who loved caring for others, enjoyed shopping, and spending time with her family and friends.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Haskell and Reba (Beaubien) Fox; her husband, Carroll Martin; her son, Larry Martin; her siblings, Jerry Fox, Francis Jump, Brenda Fox, Glen Fox, and Darrell Fox; and her grandson, Brandon Martin. Survivors include her son Tom Martin and girlfriend, Tiffany Derby; her grandchildren, Bryant Martin, Nick Martin, and Justice Wilson; her great-grandchildren, Kylie Barrett and Kambre Martin; her sister, Mary Moss and partner, Tim Chambers; her brother, Butch Fox and his wife, Pat; her beloved dog, Dolly; and many other relatives and friends.
