Donna Kay Cardinal died on September 17, 2016 at her home in Purcell at the age of 56 years 23 days. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Chappel Hill Cemetery east of Lexington. Services are entrusted to Wadley’s Funeral Service.
Donna was born August 25, 1960 in Norman, Oklahoma to Robert and Delana (Burleson) Rogers. She was raised and attended school in Little Axe, graduating from Noble in 1978. She married Chris Cardinal in 1995 and enjoyed 25 years together. Donna enjoyed making jewelry, and making things with her hands. She was an artist who loved to draw and paint, but her passion was woodworking. Donna took cabinet making courses at Moore Norman Technology center, where she won stat and national awards for an Ark she made that is on display at the school. She helped with building playgrounds and bridges in Norman. Donna loved her family and spending time with them. She enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband, going to bike rallies, camping, swimming and offroading. Donna was a member of the Frontier 4 wheeler group, and she enjoyed going to Casinos and playing "Double Diamond" games. Donna was of the Baptist faith.
Donna is preceded in death by her mother, Delana Rogers; her grandparents and an uncle. Survivors include her husband, Chris Cardinal of the home; father, Robert Rogers of Little Axe; daughters, Leasha Jager and husband, Michael of Seminole, Tabitha Rogers and husband, Justin Yeary of Noble, Tiffany Ozuna and husband, Alex of Noble; grandchildren, Phillip Henry, Kayla Henry, Julia Strasbaugh, Sherry Yeary, Alaina Yeary, Anthony Ozuna, Hannah Ozuna, Ayanna Keilani Pai Ozuna, Athen Ozuna, Axton Ozuna and one on the way; siblings, Sheila Cox and husband, Brent of Seminole, Robert Rogers, Jr. and wife, Twila of Norman; aunts and uncles, Elveda Younnie Lee of Little Axe, Barbara and Gilbert Nelson, Jimmy Russell, Johnny and Elizabeth Russell, all of Graham, Texas and many other relatives and friends.
