Deloris Kay Daugherty died July 10, 2019 in Chickasha, Oklahoma at the age of 69 years 5 months. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Monday, July 15, 2019 at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel, entrusted to Wadley’s Funeral Service.
Kay was born February 10, 1950 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Andrew Leroy and Elizabeth Manerva (Bennett) Carr. She was raised in Oklahoma City, attending South East High School. Kay worked many years managing the snack bar at the Holiday Lanes bowling alley. On September 9, 1977, she married Bobbie Daugherty in Oklahoma City. Kay enjoyed reading, spending time with her family, playing games like solitaire, Yahtzee, Bingo. She also enjoyed going to the casino, watching SciFi and John Wayne movies. Kay loved spending time with all her "Grandbabies", and was an amazing "mother" to all her nieces and nephews.
Kay is preceded in death by her father, Andrew Carr; mother and stepfather, Elizabeth and Harry Evans; husband, Bobbie Daugherty; 9 siblings, Gladys, Jessie, Alice, Joy, Mabel, Jackie, Martha, Bobby and Geraldine. She is survived by her "daughters", Susan Stanfield and husband, Eric; Sonya Ferguson and husband, Terry; her "grandchildren", Chris Stanfield, Tony Stanfield and Libby Powers, Lucas Stanfield, Cimarron Barnett, Cory Barnett, Cameron Barnett; her "great grandchildren", Jagger Stanfield, Rhett Stanfield, Stetson Stanfield, Aliya Bohanan; her aunts, Naomi Mitchell, Flossy Bishop; sister in law, Alice Carr; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
