Connie Gene Farris

     Connie Gene Farris died December 19, 2023, in Wayne, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years 7 months 21 days.  Service will be scheduled for a later date, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

     Connie was born April 29, 1950, in Purcell, Oklahoma to Eugene and Ruby Inez (Cheek) Perry. She spent her formative years in the Purcell area, where she was raised with love and tenderness. Throughout her professional journey, Connie dedicated many years of her life as a waitress at Ruby's Inn and Restaurant in Purcell.  She married Robert Tyson and were married for 25 years before he passed. Connie joined hands in matrimony with Danny Lee Farris in New Orleans, Louisiana on September 29, 1994. Together they built a home brimming with joy and shared countless memories in Wayne, Oklahoma. Connie possessed an artistic flair and found immense pleasure in engaging in various crafts such as sewing, cooking delightful meals that brought loved ones together, nurturing beautiful flower gardens, and crafting intricate birdhouses. Above all else, her heart overflowed with love for her family; she cherished every moment spent by their side. Additionally, Squeaky, her little dog, held a special place in Connie's heart.

     Connie is preceded in death by her father, Eugene Perry; her mother, Ruby Burch; her stepfather, Tom Burch; her son, Rodney Tyson; her sister, Linda Farrow; and her brother, Wilburn Fielder.  She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Danny Farris; her daughter, Shannon Tyson; her son, Chad McKee; her daughter, Kristy Farris; her son, Marcus Farris; her daughter-in-law, Bridgett Tyson; 2 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
