Cimarron was born July 10, 1975, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Lester and Martha (Carr) Stepp. He grew up on the south-side of Oklahoma City. Cimarron dedicated many years of his life to road construction, a testament to his hardworking spirit. His true passions, however, lay in the great outdoors. An avid fisherman, he found solace and joy in nature’s embrace. Dreaming of becoming a rancher, Cimarron cultivated a profound appreciation for everything related to ranch life. He cherished his dogs and often found delight in watching wrestling on television, relishing in the thrill it brought. A man of deep spirituality, Cimarron adored spending quality time with his family, nurturing bonds that enriched his life. He was especially known as the fun uncle to his nephews, bringing laughter and joy into their lives.
Cimarron is preceded in death by his mother, Martha Stepp; his sister, Elizabeth Marie Stepp; his grandparents, George and Lois Stepp, Granny and Grandpa Carr, and Granny and Grandpa Stepp; and his cousin, Steven Baxter and Kaiden Stepp. Survivors include his father, Lester Stepp; his sons, Cimarron Barnett, Cameron Barnett, Cory Barnett; his sisters, Susan and Eric Stanfield, Tamera Jo Walker; his brother, Lester Stepp Jr; his girlfriend, Angelina Hicks and her children, Saundra Stewart, Michael McLovin; grandchildren, Alexander, Sophia, Gracie; his aunts and uncles, Stefanie Wallace, Alice Carr, Christine Coughran, Odessa Hamilton, Kathy Norrid, Cindy Taylor, John and Linda Stepp, Bonnie Stepp, Leslie Stepp and Tiny Kimbelle; his nephews, Tony Stanfield, Chris Stanfield, Lucas Stanfield, Colton Walker, Blake Walker; his great nephews, Jagger, Rhett, Stetson, Tyson; his great niece, Maci; and numerous other relatives and friends.
