Charles Everett Lawson died February 2, 2025, in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 75 years 11 months 17 days. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the Wadley’s Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Lexington Cemetery, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Charlie was born February 16, 1949, in Norman, Oklahoma to Warren and Dora Francis (Lewis) Lawson. Raised in Lexington, Oklahoma, he completed his education at Lexington High School, graduating with the Class of 1967. In July of 1971, Charlie found his soulmate in Shirley Mounger. Their 39 years of marriage were filled with love and devotion until Shirley's passing in 2011. Together, they lovingly nurtured their four children: their daughter Amber and their sons Kylie, Travis, and Lance, who carry forward the values and love instilled by their parents. In 2016, Charlie embraced a new chapter in his life when he married Rosario Garcia. Their union flourished over the past eight years, bringing joy and companionship to both their lives. Charlie's professional journey led him to a successful career as a salesman, a role which he embraced until his well-deserved retirement. Throughout his life, he found solace and joy in nature; be it fishing or cruising on the lakes fulfilling his passion for water skiing or in the hills snow skiing. Though he occasionally indulged in gambling, it was undoubtedly the moments spent with his children and grandchildren that were dearest to his heart.

Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Dora Lawson; his wife, Shirley Lawson; his son, Lance Lawson; his grandson, Nick Faught; his siblings, Leroy Wheeler, Harold Wheeler, Patsy Crownover, Tom Wheeler, Virgil Wheeler, Bonnie Hackney, Lawana Mitchell, Benjiman Wheeler, and Jurden Wheeler.
