Cassie Barfield

Cassie Rae-Lea (Punneo) Browning Barfield died March 16, 2019 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 42 Years 5 Months 4 Days. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Friday, March 22, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Lexington. Interment will follow at Lexington Cemetery entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Cassie was born October 12, 1976 to Dorothy Jean (Farrow) Punneo in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. She was raised in Lexington, graduating in 1995. She continued her education at Platt College majoring in Nursing. Cassie worked as a Nurse Aide in Long Term Care, Home Health and Hospice. She loved being a mother, and doing the things that came along with the title, like cooking, cleaning, and laundry. Cassie loved taking care of her kids and grandkids, and attending their sporting events any time she could. On June 1, 2018, Cassie and Haco Barfield were united in marriage in Norman, Oklahoma, where they made their home.

Cassie is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Tiller. Survivors include her husband, Haco Barfield of Norman; sons, Kodey Tahsequah and wife, Marina of Lexington, Kaiden Orso of Norman, Andre Ibarra of Lexington; brother, Max Punneo and wife, Reika of Lexington; aunt, Jaquita Holden and husband, Brent of Lexington and many other relatives and friends.
