Carolyn Wickey

Carolyn Sue Wickey died November 6, 2021 in Lexington, Oklahoma at the age of 67 years 6 months 28 days.  A private family memorial will be held at a later date, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Carolyn was born April 9, 1954 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Harvey and Mary (Corbin) Boatwright.  She was raised and attended school in Shawnee.  Carolyn married Roger Wickey on June 17, 1997 in Lexington, Oklahoma. She continued her education later in life at Oklahoma City Community College receiving her business degree in 1999.  Carolyn enjoyed making blankets, sewing, crocheting, and working in the yard.  She loved spending time with her loved ones, and baking.  She was a pro at making people smile and feel loved.  Carolyn volunteered her time and love to the local volunteer Fire Department (Cedar Country).  She was extremely compassionate, and you could tell her love for life by her priceless facial expressions and funny banter.  Carolyn was hard headed and loved her children. She had an amazing smile and will be greatly missed.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Mary and Earl Reid; and her husband, Roger R. Wickey.

Survivors include her father, Harvey Boatwright of Oklahoma City; her daughters, Chanel Daniels of Lexington, Shannon Williams of Peru, Indiana; her sons, Joe Paschal, Robert Paschal, both of Oklahoma City, Jesse Huffman of Tulsa; her sisters, Patty Tracy, Tammy Duncan, both of Oklahoma City; her brother, Roy Boatwright of Oklahoma City; her grandchildren, Ginnie Williams, Danielle Williams, Chloe and Ryan Clark, all of Indiana, Shelby and Jacob Harris, Bryton Phillips, all of Lexington, Blaze Paschal of Oklahoma City; her great-grandchildren, Ruger Wilson, Kimber Harris, Raven Harris, all of Lexington, Faith Clark, Francis “Franny” Clark, Isla Clark and Callum Williams, all of Indiana; and numerous other relatives and friends.
