Billy Schneringer

Billy Ray Schneringer died July 15, 2017 in Midwest City, Oklahoma at the age of 81 years 9 months 11 days. Gravesite services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at the Lexington Cemetery, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Bill was, the youngest son of five, born October 4, 1935 to Charles Edward and Lillie Emma (McCallip) Schneringer in Noble, Oklahoma. He was raised and attended school in Noble and Norman. On January 17, 1955 he was inducted into the United States Army, proudly serving until his honorable discharge in January 31, 1962. On May 17, 1957, Bill married Donna "Yvonne" Nickels in Purcell, Oklahoma. They were married for 53 years before Yvonne’s death in 2011. Bill worked many years in the building supply industry, learning the industry from working the yard up to management. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing and going to the casino occasionally. Bill was also a carpenter, and enjoyed building things. He liked watching OU Sooner football and softball and the OKC Thunder.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lillie Schneringer; his wife, Yvonne Schneringer; 4 brothers, Lonnie Schneringer, Grover Schneringer, Ralph Schneringer, and Charlie Schneringer. Survivors include his son, Gary Schneringer and wife, Sandy of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Lacey Fickes and husband, Reece of Houston, Texas, Gabe Schneringer and wife, Kellyn of Dallas, Texas; great grandchild, Kenzie Grace Schneringer and many other relatives and friends.
