Betty Moore

Betty Jane Moore died September 8, 2019 in Pauls Valley at the age of 84 years 9 months 29 days. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Betty was born November 10, 1934 in Gould, Oklahoma to Richard and Marie Ethel (Roberts) Lewis. She was raised in Purcell, graduating in 1952. Betty married Wade Franklin Moore in 1962. They were married 24 years before Wade passed in 1986. Betty worked many jobs through out her life and enjoyed all of them. She retired as a Sales Associate from Wal-Mart in February 2015. Betty loved basketball, gardening and spending time with her family and friends. She was strong willed and ornery. She enjoyed teasing people, and loved to socialize.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Marie Lewis; her husband, Wade Moore; her son, Donald Moore; 2 brothers, Dick and Jay; and 3 sisters, Mable, Elva and Dorothy. Survivors include her son, Paul Moore and wife, Tara; daughter in law, Gwen Moore-Tillery and husband, John; grandchildren, Jessica Rockwell, Darby Moore, Paige Moore, Matthew Tillery and Alex Tillery; great grandchild, Makena Rockwell; brother, Jack Lewis; sister, Geraldine Julian, and numerous niece, nephews and other relatives and friends.
