Barbara Knight

Barbara Annette Knight died July 27, 2019 at the age of 69 years 24 days. Funeral Services are scheduled for 4:00 PM, Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Annette was born July 3, 1950 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Horace Rollins and Annie Jewell (Seabourn) Powell. She was raised in Oklahoma City, graduating from Central High School. Annette married Joe David Knight, and they made their home in the Oklahoma City area. She enjoyed reading books, and a good romance novel would help pass the time. Annette enjoyed traveling and going on short trips to see the sites. She enjoyed watching cartoons to relax and to share special time with her great grandchild, Riley. Annette was a strong woman, taking care of her mother, siblings and other family members while she raised her three girls on her own. She did such an amazing job, she continued by helping to raise her grandchildren. Annette worked as a CMA and then as a charge nurse in nursing homes before her retirement in 2006. She was the epitome of a strong woman in every thing she did, she was loved by all who knew her and will be missed.

Annette is preceded in death by her parents; Horace and Annie Powell; her husband, Joe Knight; her mother and father in law, Marshel and Drath Knight; her brother, Sonny Powell; her daughter, Sherry Knight and many other relatives. She is survived by her daughters, Thelma Gibson and Natasha Regalado; grandhcildren, George, Jimmy, Destinie, Shelbi, Roman, Bobbie, Mary, Ami; and her great grandchild and caregiver, Riley; and many other great grandchildren she cared for, as well as other relatives and friends.
